SoftHabits (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the SoftHabits mobile application (“the App”).
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Your name (collected during onboarding)
- Your email address (if you choose to provide it)
- Demographic information you share during onboarding (such as age range and goals)
- The habits and behaviors you choose to track, and your daily check-in responses
- Any notes or reflections you add inside the App
Information collected automatically:
- Device information (device type, operating system version, language, time zone)
- Usage data (which screens you visit, features you use, session length)
- Crash and error logs (to diagnose technical issues)
- Anonymous analytics events (to understand how the App is used)
Information related to your subscription:
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives a unique anonymous identifier and your subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card details — all payment information is handled by Apple.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the core functionality of the App (tracking habits, showing patterns and insights)
- Personalize your experience (such as using your name and tailoring content to your goals)
- Process and manage your subscription
- Improve the App, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Communicate with you about the App, if you've provided your email
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your habit data to train AI models. We do not share your data with advertisers.
Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the App:
- PostHog — product analytics (helps us understand how features are used in aggregate)
- Sentry — error and crash reporting (helps us fix bugs)
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit) — payment processing and app distribution
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data they receive from us.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, either from within the App or by contacting us at the email below.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of analytics tracking
- Export your data in a portable format

SoftHabits is not intended for users under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
